Meet the Proprietor
Erik Polzin
FounderErik’s passion for aviation began at twelve years old after joining his uncle on supply flights across northern Manitoba. After high school, several seasons of tree planting in northern British Columbia and Alberta—and commuting to remote camps by helicopter—confirmed aviation was the career he wanted to pursue.
After completing flight school and an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering college program, Erik began his career as an engineer in the helicopter spray industry before transitioning into a dual role as both pilot and engineer. His work took him throughout the Canadian Arctic and western Canada, building extensive experience in utility operations.
After nearly a decade in the field, Erik moved into flight training and later spent four years flying Bell medium helicopters. He went on to serve as Chief Pilot for a helicopter company in Whitehorse, where he enjoyed mentoring pilots, instructing, and conducting check rides.
Today, Erik works as a contract Approved Check Pilot (ACP), Pilot and Engineer. He brings decades of operational experience and a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and mentorship.
